Day 02: Fly to Gilgit
On this Day
On the second day, you will fly from Islamabad to Gilgit, which is the entrance to Pakistan's Northern Areas. Our crew will greet you upon arrival and take you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to acclimate and visit the picturesque town of Gilgit.
Day 03: Drive from Karimabad to Sost, - Snow Leopard Spotting
On this Day
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your Karimabad lodging and transported to Sost, a tiny village near the Khunjerab National Park entrance. In the afternoon, you will go on your first snow leopard spotting tour in the park, led by professionals who know the finest places to look. As the day concludes, you will return to your guesthouse in Sost for the night.
Day 04-07: Four Full Days of Snow Leopard Tracking
On this Day
For the following four days, you'll be completely immersed in nature, tracking snow leopards in Khunjerab National Park. From dawn to dusk, you will explore the difficult terrain, following trails and scouring the area for indications of these elusive big cats. The skilled guides will take you to recognized snow leopard habitats, improving your chances of seeing one. Each evening, you'll return to your guesthouse in Sost to recover and tell stories about your day's experiences.
Day 08: Transfer back to Karimabad
On this Day
On the eighth day, following your morning wildlife session, you will be transported back to Karimabad. This gorgeous trip will allow you to think about your fantastic wildlife experiences. When you return to Karimabad, you may unwind and take in the stunning scenery of this medieval town.
Day 09: Fly to Islamabad
On this Day
After breakfast, you'll fly back to Islamabad and be driven to your hotel. The rest of the day is open for you to explore the city, go shopping, or simply relax.
Day 10: Fly to Home Country
On this Day
On the final day, you will be taken to Islamabad International Airport for your return journey to your home country, capping off an unforgettable wildlife trip in Pakistan.
