Overview – Siachen Tour
The Siachen Trip provides an unparalleled opportunity to explore one of the world’s most remarkable and inaccessible locations. The Siachen Glacier, located in the eastern Karakoram Range of the Himalayas, is the second-longest glacier outside of the polar regions, measuring 76 kilometers in length. The glacier, also known as the “Land of Roses” (Sia means rose and Chen means abundance in Balti), is surrounded by stunning snow-capped peaks and harsh terrain. Siachen is the world’s highest battleground, with an elevation of about 5,400 meters (17,700 feet) above sea level. The harsh environment, with temperatures as low as -50°C (-58°F), adds to the region’s awe-inspiring and demanding nature.
The tour allows visitors to witness the glacier’s magnificence from accessible overlooks near Khaplu and adjacent valleys in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Starting in Islamabad, the trip takes you through the breathtaking landscapes of Skardu, Khaplu, Siachen, and Shigar, each offering unique cultural experiences, historic landmarks, and quiet natural beauty. The tour is ideal for those seeking adventure, peace, and a glance into the amazing landscapes of the Karakoram. It’s a voyage that combines nature’s raw beauty and human tenacity, leaving guests with amazing experiences.
