We have traveled to many places around the world but the trip to Northern Pakistan from Chitral to Gilgit was one the most fascinating tours. We have time to interact with the indigenous communities of Hindukush and Karakoram. Very well civilized communities with a very strong social structure. But what was more amazing was these people dancing on the beats of local musical instruments and cheering there teams with full zeal and enthusiasm. Shandur will be among the best experiences of my life.

The warmth of Pakistani people was incredible. Our family is astonished by their hospitality and good care. Our guide and crew made us feel like kings and queens on the plains of Shandur. The match between Gilgit and Chitral gave us goose bumps. This is an experience of a life time.

Shandur polo festival was wonderful. To see the amazing players and horses running on an altitude that high was unbelievable. Anyway everything was perfect. Our guide was amazing and special thanks to Salar for managing our group way above our expections. Hoping to see you all one day again.

Your government can improve the facilities on the pass and promote this beautiful landscape to millions of tourists looking for adventures every year.

My family was bit nervous about my safety as I was travelling to Northern Pakistan for the first time. I was told not to travel but the love for sports was so much that I made my mind to be here sometime. Before joining the tour, my tour operator helped me in answering all the questions that concerned me and my family. Once I arrived in Pakistan I felt way better, the pre-trip anxiety was something I left once I arrived at the airport in Islamabad. I was accompanied by one the most amazing people as my guide. My tour operator made sure I am comfortable and was pretty much consistently in touch with my parents to reassure them that I am fine. I will definitely come back with my parents. I highly recommend Shandur Polo Festival to everyone.

Experience of Shandur Polo was honestly a little more surprising for us. We knew about this event and had watched some videos but something we didn’t expect was the heat and energy level of this game. Spectators were amazing cheering their teams. The night stay at camps under the sky and dances on the beat of drums is something that will always be in my memories.

Make sure to pack warms clothes; the Northern Pakistan is crazy when it comes to weather. Shandur is a highland plain, the sun has very high radiation so don’t forget to pack sun blocks and warms clothes. The winds at night can disturb you at times but overall it’s a good place and a wonderful experience. 5 stars for Shandur. we'd have preferred 10 stars or more! What an awesome trip! It helps that Pakistan is probably the most beautiful place on the planet, but more importantly, our travel agency arranged our access to the country’s wonders so seamlessly
