Itinerary – Pamir & Wakhan Tour

The itinerary for the Pamir & Wakhan Tour is given below.

On this Day

Today we begin our journey to the Pamir via the mountain pass at Kalaikum, Khorog's halfway point.

Overnight at the guesthouse.

On this Day

Drive to Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan region (GBAO), along the Panj River, which serves as the boundary between Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Overnight at hotel.

On this Day

In the morning, tour Khorog's bazaar, museum, and botanical gardens. The remainder of the day is free for leisure. Overnight at Hotel.

On this Day

Today we pass the Ishkashim Wakhan valley. Following border procedures, we travel to Sultan Ishkashim to visit the local market and the local NGO office, which promotes regional development. Later, we drive to Qazideh, where you can meet the residents. Overnight at Homestay.

Traveling from Qazideh to Khandood, take the rocky road that runs along the south side of both the Tajik and Afghan Wakhan valleys. This settlement separates the Wakhan into two sections: Lower Wakhan and Upper Wakhan. Here, you must present your Wakhan authorization issued in Ishkashim. Overnight Guesthouse.

Traveling from Khandood to Sargaz. Along the trip, you'll pass through numerous small, lovely Wakhi villages, where you can visit their houses and learn about their distinct culture.

Traveling from Sargaz to Sarhad-e-Broghil. In the afternoon, visit the last settlement on the Wakhan corridor and enjoy the stunning surroundings or rest by the hot spring. An optional Buzkashi can also be organized on request.

Enjoy a stroll or horseback ride up to Broghil Pass and take in the breathtaking vistas of the Hindu Kush and Pamir Mountains. This pass also leads to Pakistan, after which it returns to Sarhad-e-Broghil.

Today, we drive back to Qala-e-Panja.

Return to Sultan Ishkashim. After crossing the border, proceed to Ishakashim, Tajikistan, where you will be met by our Tajik guide and driven to Khorog. Overnight in Khorog at the hotel.

Return travel to Dushanbe.
