On this Day

Begin the day with an early departure from Chilas, leaving at 7:00 AM. The road to Skardu leads you deeper into the mountains, with stunning views as you near the confluence of the Indus and Shigar rivers. Along the route, you'll see Shangrila Lake, commonly known as "Heaven on Earth," as well as other scenic sites. The travel takes about 6-7 hours, with breaks for lunch and photo opportunities. After arriving in Skardu, check into your hotel and spend the evening exploring Skardu Bazaar to get a sense of the local culture. Overnight in Skardu.

Another alternative is to visit the iconic Shangrila Resort, where you may eat lunch with spectacular lake views. Spend the day at leisure, either relaxing or browsing the local bazaar for gifts. Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxing night.

Bid farewell to Skardu and begin your journey back to Chilas at 7:00 AM. The return journey retraces your route through the mountains, giving you one last chance to see the breathtaking scenery. Plan a lunch break en route to break up the 6-7 hour travel. Arrive at Chilas around the late afternoon and settle into your hotel. Spend the evening relaxing and reflecting on the events of the previous few days, followed by a leisurely meal before retiring for the night.

On this Day

The final day of the program starts early, with a 6:00 am. departure from Chilas. Drive back along the Karakoram Highway, passing by familiar places and admiring the changing scenery as you descend from the highlands. Plan to stop in Besham or Mansehra for lunch and a rest. Continue your travel to Islamabad, arriving around 7:00 pm to commemorate the end of your tour.
