Itinerary – Kulikalon Trek

The itinerary for the Kulikalon Trek is given below.

On this Day

Distance: 9 km

Starting from the guest house (2150 m), the trail gradually ascends along the Urech River. After a difficult climb with a total vertical ascent of 700 meters, we arrive at the vast Kulikalon plateau at 2850 meters. Several lakes are dispersed around the plateau, which is surrounded by cliffs. Kulikalon is the name of the largest lake, and it offers ideal camping areas along its beaches. The plateau provides an excellent opportunity for short hikes for those with enough stamina to continue exploring in the afternoon. At the end of the day, we set up camp and got ready to spend the night under the stars.

On this Day

Distance: 11 km

After packing our equipment, we headed out toward the foot of Alauddin Pass. The trek begins on the Kulikalon plateau and continues along the beaches of numerous smaller lakes, including Kulisiyoh, Bibijonat, and Dushokha. The most difficult aspect of the hike is climbing up the Alauddin Mountain Pass. The pass's highest peak is 3780 meters. On one side of the pass, there are spectacular views of Kulikalón. On the other side, Lake Alauddin appears as a little speck in the valley roughly 1000 vertical meters below. The descent to Alauddin Lake is easy. After making it down, we set up camp on the lake's shore for the night.

On this Day

The morning can be spent exploring Alauddin Lake and its surroundings. Alauddin Lake is one of the most spectacular sights in the Fann Mountains. Several additional lakes with vibrant blue hues can be found in its immediate vicinity. In the afternoon, we return to Dushanbe, which takes around 4 hours by automobile.
