Overview – Hindukush Snow Festival

Madaklasht, located in the south-east of District Lower Chitral, is home to 4,000 people of Persian, Uzbek, and Tajik descent and serves as a hub of leisure activities. Madaklasht has several of the best things to do in one location. Madaklasht has spectacular sceneries to explore, including scenic mountains, glaciers, stunning vistas, trekking routes, lakes, and thousand-year-old living civilizations and the history of Tajik and Uzbek of Central Asia intermingled with Chitral culture. But the pleasure doesn’t stop there. Madaklasht is also home to touchable nature and human history, hospitality, wonderful local food, crafts and arts, music, language, and attitudes of the local people. It has been inhabited since ancient civilizations walked the Earth.

Madaklasht in Shishi Valley is more than simply a community brimming with culture and hospitality; it will also be remembered for hosting the inaugural Hindukush Snow Sports event in 2020 when the KPK government planned a winter snowboarding event in the village. Skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating are offered during the three-day sports festival in Madaklasht village. But that is not all! The festival will include an ice hockey match, other sporting events, and a social and cultural program to entertain tourists.
