Day 02: Drive to Basha Valley Arandu
On this Day
After Breakfast, you will have a thrilling 6-7 hour jeep journey to Arandu in the Basha Valley. The path takes you through tough terrain and provides breathtaking vistas of towering hills, verdant valleys, and clear rivers. By dusk, you'll arrive in Arandu, the Basha Valley's final inhabited village, where you can stay in a guesthouse or camp. Enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the village, meeting residents, and learning about their traditional way of life. Dinner will be served in the village, with an overnight stay in Arandu.
Day 03: Explore Arandu Village and Surroundings

Following breakfast, your day will begin with a guided visit to Arandu Village. This charming village is surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, such as verdant pastures, glaciers, and towering hills. Spend the morning exploring the village, viewing historic residences, and talking with the locals who have been here for decades. Their intimate connection to the mountains and knowledge of the region will provide you with unique insights into their way of life. In the afternoon, go on a short hike to explore the nearby glaciers and high-altitude farms. The area is teeming with animals, and you might see Himalayan ibex, blue sheep, or even a snow leopard if you are lucky. The trip provides breathtaking views of the neighboring glaciers and unspoiled environment. Return to the town in the evening to eat dinner and spend another night beneath the stars in this peaceful and distant location.
Day 04: Day trip to nearby valleys

You will be able to tour the neighboring areas of Arandu. After breakfast, take a day trip to a nearby valley or go up to Skoro La Pass, which provides panoramic views of the Karakoram Mountains, including Haramosh and Laila Peak. The climb to Skoro La takes approximately 4-5 hours and provides stunning views of glaciers and desolate landscapes. Alternatively, you can venture deeper into the Basha Valley, where you will find clean, less-traveled routes, towering peaks, and breathtaking alpine landscapes. After a day of exploration, return to Arandu for a late lunch and leisure. In the evening, join the residents for a traditional dinner and take in the final moments of your stay in this beautiful mountain community. Overnight stay at Arandu.
Day 05: Drive to Skardu
On this Day
On your final day, following an early breakfast, you'll drive back to Skardu, retracing your steps through the spectacular Basha Valley. The 6-7 hour jeep trip will return you to Skardu.
Day 06: Fly to Islamabad
On this Day
You'll fly back to Islamabad, capping off your journey in the heart of the Karakoram. If traveling by car, the trip back to Islamabad will take approximately 20-22 hours. When you arrive in Islamabad, the tour will formally finish, leaving you with lasting memories of the breathtaking Basha Valley and the secluded beauty of Arandu.
