Day 02: Khaltoro Valley Road Trip
On this Day
After a full breakfast, depart from Gilgit for Khaltoro Valley. The tour begins with a picturesque drive down the Darchan River, which provides stunning views of the mountains and valleys. After around 4-5 hours of driving, you'll arrive in Sassi, a little town where you may eat lunch before taking on the iconic Khaltoro Valley Road. Once you get to Sassi, take a break for lunch and recharge before returning to Gilgit. After landing in Gilgit, you can spend the afternoon visiting local landmarks including the Gilgit Suspension Bridge and the old Buddha carvings at Kargah. After a day of relaxation and touring, check into your hotel for an overnight stay and eat local food for dinner.
Day 05: Gilgit to Islamabad

On your final day, have a hearty breakfast before leaving Gilgit for Islamabad. The return ride brings you back via the stunning Karakoram Highway, with the option of stopping for lunch in Besham. As you head south, take in the breathtaking alpine views one last time. You'll arrive in Islamabad late in the evening, capping off an amazing road trip loaded with unforgettable encounters and breathtaking views of Khaltoro Valley and its surroundings.
