The Chamra Peak Expedition is a spectacular adventure geared for ambitious mountaineers. Chamra Peak, at 4,677 meters, is the second-highest peak in Kaghan Valley and provides a tough yet rewarding trip. The excursion begins with an evening departure from Islamabad, resulting in an early morning arrival in the gorgeous Kaghan Valley. Following a full breakfast, participants will transfer to jeeps going for Makhiyalan, assuming the roads are passable. The true experience begins with a trip to Khali Gati, where trekkers will spend the night camping at an elevation of 3000/3100 meters and enjoy the tranquil mountain surroundings.

The second phase of the Chamra Peak Expedition is a strenuous climb to the High Camp, which sits at 3900 meters. With lunches consumed along the way, the party settles in for a night of camping before the summit push the next day. The fourth day begins early, with a pre-dawn alarm and a short breakfast. The summit push to Chamra pinnacle takes about 5-6 hours, and climbers get the exhilarating feeling of reaching the pinnacle. After descending, the group returns to Khali Gati for a much-needed rest.
