Itinerary – Swat and Malam Jabba Tour (03 Days)

The itinerary for the three-day Swat and Malam Jabba Tour is given below.

Day 1: Journey to Swat Valley

Morning

8:00 AM: Depart from Islamabad/Lahore. Start your day early to get the most out of your trip to Swat Valley.

8:00 AM – 11:45 AM: Enjoy a lovely trip to Swat Valley. Begin by taking the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway northwest, then merge onto the Swat Motorway going northeast at the Chakdara Interchange. Marvel at the stunning vistas that pass by your window, ranging from lush foliage to flowing rivers.

11:45 AM – 12:30 PM: Take a short break for refreshments and possibly visit some optional Buddhist sites in towns such as Haibat Gram, Landakay, and Kota. These locations provide insights into the region’s rich history and cultural legacy, enriching your experience.

Afternoon

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Continue traveling to Mingora/Saidu Sharif, the center of Swat Valley. As you approach your destination, take in the scenery and noises of the surrounding countryside.

1:30 PM – 2:00 PM: Arrive at Serena Hotel, Swat or Hotel Burj Al Swat. Check-in and relax after your morning travels. Take a minute to admire the welcoming atmosphere and pleasant accommodations.

Evening

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Refresh yourself and unwind at the hotel. Rejuvenate yourself before continuing your excursions to the valley.

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Spend some time exploring the hotel’s surroundings. Explore local markets, mingle with friendly residents, and soak in the colorful ambiance of Mingora/Saidu Sharif.

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Enjoy a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant or hotel, where you may experience the unique flavors of Swat Valley cuisine. Delight your taste buds with classic cuisine with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

6:30 PM onwards: Spend the remainder of the evening at your leisure, enjoying the services and ambiance provided by Serena Hotel, Swat, or Hotel Burj Al Swat. Whether you prefer to rest in the comfort of your accommodation or explore the hotel’s facilities, let the calm of the valley surround you as you recuperate from your day of travel.

Night stay: Serena Hotel Swat or Hotel Burj Al Swat.

Day 02: Explore Marghuzar & Malam Jabba

Morning

8:00 AM – 8: 30: Get ready for the day. Check out from the Hotel.

9:00 – 9:45 AM: Drive to Marghuzar, home of the famous White Palace.

9:45 AM – 11:45 AM: Explore the White Palace and its surrounds. Although the palace today serves as a simple hotel and may not match our customers’ expectations, it is nonetheless an important monument rich in history. Spend time admiring the architecture, shopping for local handicrafts at surrounding stores, taking unforgettable photographs, and enjoying refreshments at the palace’s restaurant or nearby vendors.

11:45 AM – 12:30 PM: Depart Marghuzar and return to Mingora.

Afternoon

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Visit Fiza Ghat Park in Mingora. Spend some spare time exploring the park’s tranquil surroundings, which include the Swat River as a magnificent background. Visit the zoo, take a river lift, or simply enjoy a stroll along the riverfront.

1:30 – 2:30 PM: Have lunch at a restaurant in Saidu Sharif or Mingora. Swat Marina Restaurant in Fiza Ghat Park is a good alternative, as are eateries along the bypass route like G-Qurban and Khyber Shinwari.

2:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Set off on a picturesque trip to Malam Jabba via Manglor, which will take roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes. Enjoy the spectacular vistas of the Hindu Kush mountain range along the route.

Evening

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Check in at the Hotel in Malam Jabba. Before continuing your exploration, make sure your luggage is secure.

6:00 PM onwards:  Participate in a variety of activities offered in Malam Jabba based on your interests and the season. Skiing, snow skating, snowboarding (in the winter), chairlifts, zip-lining, hiking, short walks, and shopping for handicrafts and ski equipment are all options. Explore the adjacent Buddhist stupas and monasteries, which highlight the region’s rich cultural legacy.
supper: Enjoy a lovely supper at the Hotel in Malam Jabba, where you may sample both local and foreign food.

Day 3: Explore Malam Jabba and return to Islamabad

Morning

8:00 AM: Get up and take advantage of whatever activities you missed yesterday, such as skiing, snow-skating, snowboarding (in the winter), or simply going for a leisurely walk around Malam Jabba’s picturesque scenery.

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Spend your morning visiting the different sites and activities available in Malam Jabba. Take advantage of the chairlift, zip-lining, and hiking options, or peruse the local stores for handicrafts and ski equipment. If you didn’t have a chance to see the Buddhist stupas and monasteries yesterday, today is the opportunity.

11:00 AM: Check out from the hotel in Malam Jabba, ensuring that all possessions are safely packed for the voyage ahead.

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Depart Malam Jabba and drive to Mingora via the bypass route, which takes around two hours. Enjoy the gorgeous sights along the journey, and if wanted, make brief stops at the roadside Buddhist shrines. Remember the distance from the main road to prevent delaying your arrival in Islamabad.

Afternoon

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Arrive at the Mingora bypass road and have lunch at whichever restaurant you like.

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Continue your journey to Islamabad via the Swat Motorway for a comfortable and fast travel experience. Enjoy the scenery as you drive, and if time allows, make additional stops at areas of interest along the way.

Evening

6:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Relax on the way back to Islamabad, soaking in the views and sounds of the surrounding countryside. Arrive at your preferred destination in Islamabad. to conclude your amazing Swat Valley excursion.
