The itinerary for the Gokyo Lake Renjo La Pass Trek is noticeable below.

Distance: 8 Km

Duration: 3 hours

You'll leave for the airport early this morning for your journey to Lukla. The flight to Lukla is an unforgettable experience in itself. After landing, you'll walk to Phakding via verdant landscapes with a view of Kusum Kangraru.

Note:

Flights will operate via Ramechhap during the peak season, which runs from the end of March to early May in the spring and from late September to the end of November in the fall. Ramechhap is 142 kilometers away, a four-hour journey. We will need to leave Kathmandu at 2 a.m. for the trip to Lukla.

Distance: 10-12 km

Duration: 6 hours

Today, you will follow the Dudh Koshi River and rise through pine and cedar forests to the well-known settlement of Namche Bazaar. You will spend two days in Namche for acclimatization, see local markets, and spend time with your colleagues. During the climb, you'll have your first look of Everest and the surrounding peaks.

Distance: 3-4 Km

Duration: 3 Hours

This day is specifically designated for acclimatization. We will trek to Syangboche Airport (3700m), which is said to be the world's highest airport, and then continue to Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache, and other peaks. On the way back, we stop at the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery.

Distance: 11-12 km

Duration: 5 hours

The route is simple in the beginning up to Kyangjuma and then rises steeply out of the valley through rhododendron trees. As you climb higher, the aroma of juniper and conifers takes over. This hike is especially stunning in the spring when the rhododendrons are in full bloom. The routes pass via Kharkas, a summer village where Sherpas bring herds of yaks to graze in the high meadows. Tongba (3950m) and Gyele (3960m) are the communities along the way to Dole. The vistas of Khumbila and Tawache are stunning during the hike.

Distance: 5-6 km

Duration: 5 hours

Today, this path ascends to Lambara (4220m) and Luza (4360m). The route is steep in most parts as it ascends among juniper shrubs. The route climbs up the valley's slope, high above the river, reaching Machhermo.

Distance: 8-9 Km

Duration: 4 hours

Today, you will ascend a hill to have a great view of both valleys to Kantega and Cho-Oyu (8201m). After traversing the ridge, the valley widens as the route goes past Pangka (4390 m). The trail then dips to the riverside before commencing its ascent to the Ngozumpa Glacier. It's a difficult walk up the moraine and along the stream to the first tiny lake.

Distance: 4-5 km

Duration: 4 hours

You get up early and trek to Gokyo-Ri for a panoramic vista of the Mahalangur Himalayan Range. It takes a few hours to reach the summit, which offers a 360-degree panorama of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cholatse. Witness the mesmerizing Ngozumpa glacier, Nepal's biggest.

Distance: 12-13 km

Duration: 6-7 hours

We begin our walk from Gokyo to Lunden early in the morning via Renjo La Pass, which reaches an elevation of 5,360 meters. As you rise, you'll be treated to the most breathtaking and exciting day of the trek, with panoramic vistas of the Gokyo Lakes, Mount Everest, and other towering peaks.

After reaching the pass, take a minute to enjoy the views before descending into the lonely northern valley, which is evocative of Tibetan scenery. Our adventure concludes at Lunden, where we are surrounded by tranquility and breathtaking natural beauty.

Distance: 13 km

Duration: 4-5 hours

After breakfast, you'll head down to Thame for more breathtaking snow-capped peaks. Along the road, you may come across Tibetan merchant encampments, providing opportunities to photograph a unique lifestyle. You'll also have the opportunity to visit Thame Monastery, a magnificent monastery situated on the edge of a hill overlooking the valley. The Mani Rimdu festival's spring celebration takes place here every year in the middle of May.

Distance: 8-9 km

Duration: 4-5 hours

We will continue our walk across flat terrain before descending to our first rest stop, Thamo, and then proceeding into Namche Bazaar. The trip back is fantastic. Upon arrival at Namche, you will have completed a circuit.

Distance: 17-18 km

Duration: 7 hours

Today marks the final day of our journey. We'll leave Namche in the morning and return to Lukla via Jorsalle, Monjo, Phakding, and Choplung, where our journey will come to an end. When you arrive in Lukla, you will have time to rest and recover in your guesthouse before saying goodbye to the spectacular environment.

Depending on the travel season, you will fly from Kathmandu to Ramechhap and wave farewell to the mountains with amazing beauty before moving to your accommodation.

Apricot Tours representative will bring you to Kathmandu International Airport around 3 hours before your planned flight departs.

Overview – Gokyo Lake Renjo La Pass Trek

This tour highlights breathtaking alpine scenery, glacial lakes, and a high-altitude pass. This trip combines the spectacular splendor of the Gokyo Lakes with the challenge of traversing the Renjo La Pass, which provides breathtaking vistas of some of the world’s highest peaks.

The Gokyo Lake Renjo La Pass takes you via less-traveled pathways in the Everest area. Being off the beaten path delivers a more exotic and less crowded experience. Furthermore, the scenery along this route is perhaps more beautiful than that of the traditional Everest Base Camp journey. The hike takes place in Nepal’s Solukhumbu District, which is part of Sagarmatha National Park. A highlight of this expedition is traversing one of the highest passes, known as Renjo La.

The region is home to Sherpa and other ethnic groups. These folks live in harmony and have a kind, welcoming demeanor. People from these towns have established guesthouses and motels along these roads, providing nice and sanitary accommodations. The Renjo La Pass is the highest point on this walk and provides an amazing view of the Everest range.

This viewpoint provides a stunning view of the Gokyo lakes, with snowy peaks in the background. This pass was originally a trading route to Tibet, and Sherpas would hike via Nangpa La. You’ll also get the opportunity to see Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Aba Dablam, and other snow-capped peaks in the region. You may also see endangered species such as red pandas and snow leopards, among others.

The Apricot Tours guarantees that the journey to Gokyo Lake Renjo La Pass will be an unforgettable experience. It is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a less crowded, off-the-beaten-path trekking experience.
