The route begins in Manang village and passes a creek before ascending to the settlement of Tenki above Manang. It then climbs out of the Marshyangdi Valley and turns northwest up Jarsang Khola's valley. We'll next follow the valley north, going through fields and juniper trees as it gradually climbs. We also include Ghunsa, a little town with flat mud roofs located right below the trailhead. Now the road leads through meadows where horses and yaks happily graze.
We cross the river on a wooden bridge and pass an ancient Mani wall in a lovely meadow before arriving at another little settlement, Yak Kharka. To avoid altitude difficulties, climbing should be gentle and gradual.
Day 09: Yak Kharka to Throng Phedi (4,450 M/14,465 ft)

We'll travel to Thorong Phedi, a busy tiny village that caters to tired trekkers and climbers like us. It frequently serves as a base camp for those going for the summit.
While some of our members may choose to trek to High Camp today to decrease their load for tomorrow, we have a hard day planned. To ensure a nice night's sleep, we'll stay at Thorong Phedi, preferring the security of sound sleep over the unknowns that higher elevations at High Camp may bring.

We ascend across steep slopes to the top (5416m), where we are greeted by an indescribably beautiful 360-degree view of snow-capped peaks reaching north into Tibet.
Looking back, the Annapurna landscape unfolds behind us, while ahead is the breathtaking Kali Gandaki valley. The road then descends steeply to Muktinath, an important Hindu pilgrimage destination as well as a favorite of many ethnic Tibetans and ardent Buddhists.

Note:
However, flights to and from Jomsom are regularly delayed or canceled owing to bad weather conditions. If your flight to Pokhara is canceled on the scheduled day, you can drive to Pokhara by jeep, which takes around 5 hours.
Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu
You'll take a bus back to Kathmandu, leaving the mountains behind you. The roads are meandering, leading you past verdant hills and calm rivers. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be settled into your hotel.
