The airport serves both international and domestic flights. It is located 12 kilometers northwest of the city. Quetta is the provincial capital and largest city in Baluchistan province. It is also known as the Fruit Garden of Pakistan. In contrast to the dry plains to the west, the immediate area has long been characterized by meadows and mountains, as well as a diverse range of plants and animals. Serene Air is a privately owned Pakistani airline that was granted its license in 2016. The airline, which began operations in 2016 with a Boeing 737-400 between Islamabad and Karachi, has since grown its fleet to three aircraft, covering six domestic destinations.
